Bio and Artist Statement

“Theatre is something that has captivated me since I was literally an infant. I remember being around 4 years old and performing “Almost Always True” by Elvis and causing heads to turn. I love creativity and I love imagination, and when creative and collaborative artists come together to form a beautiful ensemble of dynamically talented and wonderfully fun people, great theatre is created. We live in a time where originality is often shot down, but to me, when the creative juices start flowing, there is no stopping a fantastic production. That is why I do theatre, and that is why I continue to create. Originality and creativity must be fueled, even in characters written a hundred years ago! When I go to work on a character, I look at the person, not the thing. I am looking at who they are and how original they are made to be, even in a fictional story. What matters to me is that it feels real while maintaining that beautiful piece of imagination and creativity that comes from creating a character.
